Birds of a Feather had a great time visiting Arcade City at The Island in Pigeon Forge, TN. 🎮✨ It was a fun stop during our trip and a great place to let the little Birds burn off some energy while chasing tickets and prizes.

If you’re curious what the inside of Arcade City looks like, be sure to check out our YouTube walkthrough, where we take you through the games, prize area, and overall vibe of the space:👉 https://youtu.be/geKqMpihPwA

🎟️ Games We Loved

One of the biggest highlights for us was the Wizard of Oz coin game. That’s where Brother Bird and Mama Bird spent most of our time. We shared a single game card between the two of us and still managed to play until the very end!

Sister Bird and Little Brother each had their own cards, which Papa Bird occasionally jumped in on to help out (or maybe steal a turn 😉).

As expected, Little Brother absolutely loved the racing games. No matter where we go, if there’s a racing game, that’s where you’ll find him.

And if claw machines are your thing—Arcade City has you covered. They had loads of them. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many claw games in one place before! 🎯 Sister Bird seemed to do pretty well with them too, coming back with a few prizes—so I think she’s officially leveling up her claw-game skills.

🏆 The Prize Area

The rewards area was AMAZING. Truly impressive. There was a wide variety of prizes, and it was well stocked and visually exciting. If prizes are a big part of the arcade experience for your family, Arcade City really shines here.

🪶 Our Overall Rating

Overall, Arcade City was a fun stop, and we’re glad we spent time there. We ended up giving it 4 out of 5 feathers 🪶🪶🪶🪶.

While the prize area was fantastic, Arcade City was missing a few of the favorite games the Bird Family had enjoyed during our previous visit to Destination Fun.

🤔 Arcade City vs. Destination Fun

If you’ve already seen our walkthrough of Destination Fun in Nags Head, you might be wondering how Arcade City compares.

Surprisingly, all the little Birds—and Papa Bird—ended up preferring Destination Fun. This honestly caught me off guard, because they had previously complained that Destination Fun didn’t have a great prize area… and Arcade City’s prize area was FAR superior.

In the end, though, Destination Fun had a few specific games that the kids absolutely loved—games that Arcade City didn’t have. I also think arriving right at opening time at Destination Fun, when we practically had the place to ourselves, helped push it into the lead.

I do wonder if opinions might have shifted if we had arrived at Arcade City earlier in the day—but unfortunately, nothing can quite replace those few favorite games that Destination Fun offered and Arcade City didn’t.

✨ Final Thoughts

Arcade City is a colorful, exciting arcade with a top-tier prize area and plenty of games to keep kids entertained. While it didn’t quite edge out Destination Fun for our family, it was still a solid, fun experience—and one we’d happily recommend stopping into while visiting The Island in Pigeon Forge.

Have you been to Arcade City or Destination Fun? Which one would your family choose? 🐦💛
