If you’re looking for a big, bustling brunch spot in Sevierville—especially if you’re headed to the outlets—5 Oaks Farm Kitchen is one of those places that gets recommended again and again. It came highly recommended to us by the Mountain Birds, who love stopping here for brunch before shopping, so we decided to give it a try during our Pigeon Forge / Sevierville trip.

Quick Details

  • Location: Sevierville, Tennessee

  • Best for: Large brunch crowds, families, quick seating (if timed right!), cinnamon rolls

  • When we went: Arrived around 11:50 AM (lunch starts at noon)

  • Vibe: Busy, loud, energetic, country-farm themed

First Impressions

This place is huge inside, and it was packed when we walked in—but we lucked out and got seated right away. We clearly timed it just right, because by the time we left, there was already a wait forming.

Mountain Mama Bird recommended sticking with breakfast here, so even though we arrived right before lunch service, we all went the breakfast route.

Drinks

  • Big Brother ordered the Harvest Sunrise (strawberry + orange juice) and really liked it.

  • I ordered the orange juice because the menu claimed it was fresh squeezed… but honestly, it didn’t taste that way to me. Papa Bird agreed—it didn’t come across as truly fresh squeezed.

💡 Side note: If you do want genuinely fresh squeezed OJ at home, I highly recommend the Zulay juicer (affiliate link): https://amzn.to/4jWjG5nI got it for Christmas, and it makes the real deal—nothing compares.

⭐ The Star of the Meal: The Cinnamon Roll

We ordered the Handmade Farm Size Cinnamon Roll with sweet cream icing to start, and this was easily the highlight of our visit.

Compared to Crockett's Breakfast Camp (another popular breakfast spot in the area), this cinnamon roll felt:

  • Fresher

  • More airy (the icing felt whipped)

  • More sugar-based icing, not overly sweet

Overall… really, really good.

Now, Papa Bird still stands by Crockett's Breakfast Camp as his #1 cinnamon bun—but for me? 5 Oaks won this round.

What We Ordered — Bird Family Picks 🐦

🐦 Mama Bird

Fried Bologna Breakfast Thick-cut fried beef bologna on a scratch-made biscuit, sliced tomatoes, two over-easy eggs, sausage gravy, and hollandaise sauce.

What I liked:

  • The hollandaise sauce was excellent

  • Eggs were cooked properly

What I didn’t love:

  • The biscuit was on the dry side

  • Eggs felt under-seasoned

  • Breakfast potatoes were just… meh

I also added a side of cinnamon apples, and I wouldn’t recommend that—they didn’t add much to the meal.

🐦 Papa Bird

Pit Master Casserole Scrambled eggs with spring onions over ribbon-cut potatoes, topped with pulled pork BBQ.

His verdict:

  • The BBQ leaned sweet

  • Bennett’s still wins for BBQ and sauce overall

🐦 Big Brother

Pigs in a Poke Local sausage links wrapped in griddle cakes, served with eggs, butter, and syrup.

His thoughts:

  • Loved how light and fluffy the griddle cakes were

  • Didn’t love the sausage wrapped inside—he expected something closer to a breakfast sausage-on-a-stick

  • Scrambled eggs again felt under-seasoned

Despite that, this was actually his favorite breakfast of the trip.

🐦 Sister

Kids waffle with scrambled egg and added fresh strawberries. She was happy—especially with the strawberries (simple wins are still wins).

🐦 Little Brother

Kids breakfast: scrambled egg, bacon, and a side. Classic, kid-approved, no complaints.

Service Notes

When I asked our waitress what she personally recommended, the response felt a bit rushed—more of a menu explanation than an actual recommendation. Not a dealbreaker, but it didn’t add much to the experience.

Atmosphere

Even though the food itself wasn’t a top pick for me, I really enjoyed the outdoor area. The old farm equipment and fire pit setup give it a fun rustic vibe, and it’s a cute spot for photos if that’s your thing.

Final Thoughts

This ended up being our lowest-rated meal of the trip overall—mostly due to under-seasoning and sides that didn’t stand out.

But… that cinnamon roll? Absolutely worth it.

I could see us going back just for the cinnamon roll and giving a different entrée a try. And interestingly, Big Brother ranked this as his top breakfast, so opinions definitely varied within the Bird Family.

🪶 Bird Family Verdict

  • Mama Bird: Not my favorite overall, but I’d go back for the cinnamon roll

  • Papa Bird: Bennett’s wins for BBQ

  • Big Brother: Loved it—his top breakfast pick

  • Sister: Happy waffle + strawberries

  • Little Brother: Kids breakfast did the job

Feather Rating: 3.5 / 5 Feathers Worth trying once—especially if you want a big brunch spot near the outlets—but the cinnamon roll is the real reason to go.
